Grandparent's Day Celebration

“What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humour, comfort and lessons in life. A child needs grandparents to grow a little more securely into an unfamiliar world.”

To celebrate the deep connection between the children and grandparents and to instil values among the tiny tots, Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri celebrated Grandparents Day on 20th September, 2022. The day was filled with oodles of blessings, happy faces, excitement and cheer as the budding stars displayed the purity of love and affection for their grandparents.

The programme began with welcoming the Guest & Grandparents followed by the auspicious ‘Lighting of the Lamp’ & Sapling Presentation. A power packed dance performance by the students left the spectators spellbound and mesmerized. The icing on the cake was the Musical Performance presented by the students for their grandparents which showcased the special bond they shared. To balance the tones set by the events so far, various games were organised and grandparents participated in them with great zeal and enthusiasm which reflected the sweet and adorable relationship between the duo. It was a moment of elation to see the happiness ushering on the faces when the talented actors acted in a short skit and left everyone enthralled.

The reverend guest, Ms Madhu Sirohi ma’am appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated them to become the strength of their grandparents by helping and taking care of them.

The Principal, Mr. Rajeev Goel addressed the gathering and appreciated the students for putting up scintillating performances for their elder ones. Grandparents shared some mesmerizing moments and relived their childhood with the grandchildren.

The success of the event was evident through the joyful smiles and teary eyes of the grandparents as they were overwhelmed to see their grandchildren performing for them.
